Configure Gravity Mail for Outlook 2003 using POPPOP3 (Post Office Protocol) is a method of retrieving e-mail from a central server and downloading to a local PC. Once downloaded, the messages are deleted from the central server. The design of POP was useful for dial-up users with intermittent connectivity.1. Open MS Outlook 2003 2. Click the 'Tools' menu, and select 'E-mail Accounts...' ![]() 3. Select 'Add a new e-mail account', and click 'Next'. ![]() 4. Choose 'POP3' as your server type by clicking the radio button, and click 'Next.'
5. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information: User Information Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the 'From:' field of outgoing messages. E-mail Address: Enter your full Gravity Mail email address (username@gravitymail.co.uk) Server Information Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.gravitymail.co.uk Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.gravitymail.co.uk Login Information User Name: Enter your Gravity Mail username (including '@gravitymail.co.uk') Password: Enter your Gravity Mail password ![]() 6. Click 'OK'. 7. Click 'Test Account Settings...' After receiving 'Congratulations! All tests completed successfully,' click 'Close.' 8. Click 'Next,' and then click 'Finish.' |
